Tricks with Bricks is looking for instructors with a strong teaching background that will be given the freedom of developing their own robotics curriculum and running their own team. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone who loves working with school aged children, has a passion for education and learning and is ready for a leadership role in planning, and delivering programs for children and parents.

The STEM Instructor will be responsible for development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of the STEM program. Successful candidates will be outgoing individuals with strong leadership abilities and have some experience working with children from 4-14 years of age.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead robotics classes with six to eight students
  • Actively guide students towards completing the assigned project
  • Classroom management
  • Advance student knowledge following curriculum
  • Lesson plan development
  • Room setup and organization
  • Motivate and engage students
  • Communicating clear instructions and guiding a team of younger instructors
  • Willing to develop Robotics curriculum
  • Submit daily pictures and videos of activities at classes to the Marketing section


  • Experience teaching students ages 5 to 16
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Interest in developing robotics projects and classes, expanding student knowledge in STEM fields
  • Be available to discuss curriculum with parents at drop off and pick up times

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with Mindstorm EV3 & LEGO WeDo
  • CPR – First Aid certified an asset (you may be required to be certified within 1 month of hiring)
  • Successful Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Has a valid G license and or access to a vehicle of their own

Salary: $15.00 to $20 /hour
